16-Year-Old Michael Cole From Alabama: His Body Was Found Burned, and His Friends Said It Was An Accident

Jamiesfeast – According to WAKA, 16-year-old Alabama teen Michael Cole Jr.’s body was discovered shortly before 11 p.m. on January 29, 2024, and two people were arrested in connection with his case.

According to a WSFA story, the two suspects in Cole’s case are as follows:

The suspects, identified in court documents as 18-year-olds Nicholas Treyvon King-Sheppard and Nedvin Maynard Jones, Jr., are charged with felony murder and are being held without bail at the Montgomery Cty. Detention Facility.

More information has been released to the world about what occurred to Cole on the night of January 25, 2024. Detective A.C. Patterson spoke for about an hour at the hearing.

The WSFA article stated:

Patterson testified that Cole was with Jones and King-Sheppard, plus two others, when he was killed on Jan. 25. The detective said the five had shot into a house on Gaston Avenue. Patterson said based on statements from the suspects, it was believed that the person who lived at that home had stolen guns from one of them. However, no one was home when they shot into it, he said. Patterson testified that Cole was accidentally shot in the back of the head during the incident.

Cole’s body was found severely charred, with the seat cushions of his automobile removed. Blood was also discovered on the floorboard and seatbelt.

Aniah’s Law gives Judge Reid until Wednesday, February 7, 2024, to grant or reject bail to both suspects.
