Jamiesfeast – Police in Brooklyn said Wednesday morning that a minivan hit two kids who were on their way to school.
A Nissan minivan driver going east on 62nd Street hit the 13-year-old girl and 12-year-old boy while they were walking at the corner of 16th Avenue and 62nd Street in Bensonhurst just after 8 a.m.
Police say that both victims were taken to Maimonides Medical Center and were reported as being in stable condition with minor injuries.
Police say the driver, a 44-year-old guy, stayed at the scene and was given a summons.
The accident happened not far from Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School and right next to Bais Sarah, a special Jewish school for girls.
