Jamiesfeast – Dean E. Leon, 56, of Enola, was found guilty of sexually assaulting his stepdaughter multiple times after a trial that ended on Monday, January 31. District Attorney Seán McCormack explained this in a press statement.
He was arrested for luring a 14-year-old girl to the Somers Point Library and starting an online relationship with her in 2017, which led to the charges. The DA and the Somers Points police department both explained this in their original press release.
The DA said that while he was in jail in NJ, “he made statements about having a’sexually charged’ relationship with his stepdaughter” and that a search of his phone showed “explicit images of his stepdaughter.” There were even lines in the picture that turned out to be his fingerprints.
The DA said he was found guilty of Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse of a Child Less Than 16, Aggravated Indecent Assault, Indecent Assault, and Corruption of Minors. Court records also confirmed this. His most recent court record shows that two charges were dropped: rape of an unconscious victim and rape of a substantially impaired person.
The sentences came at the end of a two-day trial during which his stepdaughter told the court about several times she had been sexually abused. Chief Deputy District Attorney Julia Skinner was in charge of this case.
NJ court records show that Leon is still serving his 10 years in state jail for child luring and endangering the welfare of a child. “Subject to the No Early Release Act (NERA), which mandates that the defendant must serve 85% of the sentence,” the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s office said in a press release after his conviction in 2019.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education says Leon had a license to teach “Mid-Level Mathematics 6–9; Biology 7–12; General Science 7–12; Elementary K–6.” He is not known to have worked as a teacher, though. On April 8, 2022, this license was taken away from them.

There will be a hearing in Pennsylvania on April 30 at 9 a.m. with Judge Jessica E. Brewbaker to decide Leon’s sentence in this case.
