KCK Police Investigate Fatal Crash Near 18th Street, Tauromee Avenue

Jamiesfeast – The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department is currently conducting an investigation into a fatal multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Tuesday night.

The authorities received information about the crash around 5:30 p.m. The incident occurred in the vicinity of N. 18th Street and Tauromee Avenue, close to Donnelly College.

According to the police, one vehicle was traveling at a high speed southbound on 18th Street. The driver of this vehicle tried to overtake another vehicle in front of them but ended up colliding with a northbound vehicle.

The driver of the northbound vehicle was also transported to the hospital after sustaining non-life threatening injuries, according to the police.

The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department (KCKPD) has announced the closure of N. 18th Street between Tauromee Avenue and Orville Avenue. The closure is in effect as the police work the scene, and it is anticipated to remain closed for several hours.

Authorities are urging individuals to steer clear of the vicinity for the time being.

The investigators are still looking into the cause of the crash.
