FBI Arrest Tennessee Man Plotting ‘sniper’ Attack At Texas-mexico Border, According To Documents

Jamiesfeast – According to court documents, the FBI arrested a Tennessee man who allegedly intended to participate in a violent assault along the Texas-Mexico border.

According to federal records, Paul Faye Sr. was taken into custody for possessing an unregistered firearm/silencer regulated by the National Firearms Act.

The investigation was initiated after an individual named Bryan Perry was charged in Missouri with “various violent federal felonies.” This information was stated in a criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.

The complaint alleges that Perry’s phone was seized, revealing a significant amount of communication with Faye in the days leading up to his arrest.

“Specifically, Faye expressed a desire to travel with Perry and another individual to the U.S. /Mexico border and commit acts of violence,” the complaint stated.

In March 2023, Faye was introduced to an undercover agent by the FBI through TikTok. Upon exchanging messages, Faye willingly shared his phone number for further communication.

On April 1, 2023, Faye met with three undercover agents and his two sons in person. During the meeting, Faye inquired about the undercover agents’ affiliation with federal law enforcement.

He started discussing his beliefs that the government was “training to take on its citizens” and allowing migrants to enter the country to assist them after confirming that the undercover agents were not law enforcement.

During the conversation, Faye shared details about his tactical training and the weapons he owned. To illustrate, he displayed a picture on his phone of a 6.5 Creedmoor rifle equipped with a suppressor, as mentioned in the complaint.

According to the FBI, Faye had not registered the suppressor during their previous check on the National Firearm Registration.

During the conversation on May 11, 2023, an undercover agent engaged in a discussion with Faye about the importance of conducting in-person training prior to making any travel arrangements for the border.

According to the complaint, Faye explicitly expressed her belief that “the patriots will rise up because we’re being invaded.”

On December 14, 2023, the agent personally met with Faye to discuss the coordination of militia groups from Kentucky, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Their objective was to transport explosive devices to the border.

In the complaint, Faye stated that his role within the group involved serving as a sniper and actively engaging targets with accurate shots.

On December 14th, Faye stated that he had Tannerite in his possession, which he could convert into Claymore mines. He further revealed to the agent that he had strategically placed butane tanks around his property, intending to use them as booby traps in case law enforcement were to make an appearance.

During the meeting, Faye displayed an AK-47 suppressor to an undercover agent who expressed interest in acquiring one. The agent went ahead and purchased the suppressor for $100. Notably, the suppressor lacked any manufacturer markings or a serial number. This information led the authorities to conclude that Faye had violated the law by possessing, selling, or transferring a firearm that was not registered on the ATF’s National Firearm Registration and Transfer Record.

An arrest warrant was issued on Feb. 2, and he was taken into custody three days later, according to records.

Faye appeared in federal court for the first time on February 5th, and his detention hearing is scheduled for February 12th.
