One Person Dies In A Double Shooting In Newark

Jamiesfeast – Jaquill D. Swain, who had sustained a gunshot wound, was discovered on the 100 block of Dewey Street at approximately 11 p.m. on Friday, February 2. This information was confirmed by Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé.

It was 11:32 p.m. when they said he was dead at the scene. A second person who was shot was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
