Jamiesfeast – A brave doorman from New York City is receiving praise for his heroic actions when he came to the aid of a young woman who was being pursued by two robbers. The incident occurred in broad daylight, as the attackers cornered the woman against a nearby wall.
According to the police, two thieves robbed a 24-year-old woman of her phone outside a building on the Upper East Side around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday.
According to ABC7, the victim was fortunately unharmed, as the assailants were thwarted in their attempt to snatch her purse by the timely intervention of the doorman at a building located at 74th Street and Madison Avenue.
“I did my best, and I wish I could have done more, but everything happened so quickly that I wasn’t able to,” shared the anonymous doorman with the station.
He rushed outside to investigate the commotion, only to be met with a clever attempt to deceive him. The assailant who had his target pinned down claimed that she had stolen his phone, as he explained to ABC7.
The doorman recounted how he hesitated when he realized that his actions might be interpreted as assisting the thief. However, even this brief moment of hesitation was enough to divert the attention away from the perpetrator.
Laughing as they ran away, the pair swiftly snatched the woman’s phone from her grasp.
The doorman expressed his shock, stating that he couldn’t believe they had no sense of shame.
The residents of the building hailed their doorman as a hero for stepping in, according to the station.
The couple then stole the woman’s phone and fled, laughing as they went.

“What struck me is that they were so bold,” he went on to say. “Even when I was outside, they still continued to rob her.”
