The ‘Morning Joe’ co-host told Trump allies to ‘shut up’ about Swift and noted the singer was targeted by ‘the left’ in the past
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough was left stunned on Wednesday by the reaction of Republicans, particularly those in “MAGA world,” to Taylor Swift. His co-host and wife, Mika Brzezinski, described the situation as a complete meltdown.

“This feels so surreal,” Scarborough expressed on the morning show, “Morning Joe,” when discussing the swift and immediate responses.
In response to the question, he added, “Actually, she consistently comes out on top,” a sentiment that was echoed by his co-hosts.
According to Scarborough, a former Republican congressman, Swift was previously singled out by the “left.”
“And now she is being targeted by the right. It’s as if they are saying, ‘Just shut up’,” Scarborough remarked.
Swift also faced similar criticism from others, who labeled her as an “alt-right icon” and more.
Today, though, it seems that Republicans are expressing dissatisfaction with Swift’s presence in pop culture. This includes her absence from her highly successful Eras tour and her frequent appearances at Kansas City Chiefs games. It should also be noted that she is currently dating tight end Travis Kelce.
Swift has been subjected to intense criticism following reports that she might endorse President Joe Biden, while Trump’s team is allegedly planning a strong retaliation.
During an interview, Karoline Leavitt, the national press secretary of the Trump campaign, expressed her opinion on Taylor Swift’s potential endorsement, suggesting that Swift should focus on her songwriting skills instead. Leavitt referred to the endorsement as a “Hail Mary pass.”
Jeanine Pirro, a commentator from Fox News, has expressed her opinion that Swift should avoid getting involved in politics.
During his show on Fox News, Sean Hannity questioned whether Taylor Swift is aware of who she is aligning herself with as the Biden campaign seeks her endorsement.
Vivek Ramaswamy, on the other hand, recently put forward a conspiracy theory, proposing that the upcoming Super Bowl could potentially be rigged as part of an elaborate scheme to secure a Swift endorsement.
“I can’t help but ponder who will emerge victorious in the upcoming Super Bowl next month. Moreover, I find myself curious about the possibility of a significant presidential endorsement from a couple who seems to have gained popularity through manufactured cultural influence later this autumn,” he expressed on X, formerly known as Twitter. “These thoughts are merely speculative at this point, and I am intrigued to witness how they unfold over the course of the next eight months.”
