Jamiesfeast – Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) has been granted a temporary restraining order against her ex-husband on Monday. She made the allegations that her former spouse had threatened to harm both her and himself.
In addition, the representative from Colorado’s Third District claimed that her ex-partner informed her through a text message that he had entered her home in Stilt without permission on Friday morning. According to the outlet, he stated that he had removed her personal belongings and destroyed them.
According to the Associated Press, Jayson Boebert mentioned that he entered the house to tidy it up before “her Granny” arrived.
The judge may make the order permanent at a hearing later this week, ensuring the protection of the couple’s three minor children.
They also share a fourth adult son and have one grandchild together.
Jayson Boebert found himself in legal trouble after an incident that took place on January 6th at the Miner’s Claim restaurant in Silt. He called the police on the prominent Republican figure, claiming that she had punched him in the face. Additionally, there was an alleged fight involving Jayson and his 18-year-old son, Tyler Boebert, on January 9th.
He faced multiple charges including third-degree assault, prohibited use of weapons, obstructing a peace officer, harassment, disorderly conduct, and third-degree trespassing.
Lauren Boebert mentioned both incidents in her request for a restraining order.
“I have no intention of causing any harm to Lauren. All I want is to move on and find peace,” stated Jayson Boebert in his conversation with the AP, addressing the January 6 incident. However, he did not provide any comment regarding the altercation with his son on January 9.
According to him, Lauren Boebert is using the restraining order as a means to “justify” her decision to relocate to a different congressional district.
In December of last year, the congresswoman made the decision to step away from her current congressional seat in Colorado’s 3rd District. Instead, she announced her intention to run for office in the 4th District, which is known to be more Republican-friendly.
Lauren Boebert expressed her belief that the decision she made was not only beneficial for her personally but also for those who are part of the conservative movement.
