12-year-old Manhattan Girl, Sharaun Cole, Went Missing While Playing At The Park In 1983

Jamiesfeast  –  This case came to my attention through Crime Noir Podcast, a valuable source for information on missing and murdered individuals in the Black community. While there isn’t much known about Sharaun Cole, The Doe Network reports that this 12-year-old went missing from Manhattan, New York in 1983.

On February 25, 1983, Sharaun ventured outside of her family home on Edgecomb Avenue to play. According to her mother, she was spotted at a nearby park but never made her way back. Since then, no one has had any contact with or sight of her. Sharaun’s mother firmly asserted that there were no issues within their household that might have prompted the child to flee. Unfortunately, there is limited information available regarding this long-standing case.
