Police Probe 2 Separate Shootings In Dc With A Two-hour Time Gap

Jamiesfeast – The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is currently investigating two separate shootings that occurred within a two-hour time frame on Monday evening.

In Northwest D.C., a shooting occurred in the 900 block of New York Ave at approximately 5:48 p.m. The incident was reported by Capt. Sharde Harris on Nextdoor, stating that law enforcement officers discovered a man who had sustained gunshot wounds.

The injured individual was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but unfortunately succumbed to their injuries shortly after.

After conducting an investigation, MPD discovered that the victim had been shot in the 900 block of K St. They have issued a lookout for a man wearing a black sweatsuit and carrying a black and white drawstring bag.

At approximately 7:17 p.m., another shooting took place near the NOMA Metro Station, specifically at 1200 of 3rd St. in Northeast D.C. During the incident, a man was discovered in a non-responsive state. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has issued a warning to be on the lookout for a suspect fitting the description of a thin-built individual with dreadlocks. The suspect was last spotted driving a grey Chrysler 200 with D.C. license plates, registered as GR-3248.
