Maryland Man Receives Sentence for Robbing 5 Banks in Pennsylvania: Usdoj

Jamiesfeast – According to an updated release by the US Department of Justice on Monday, Feb. 5, a man has been sentenced for committing five bank robberies in Adams, Cumberland, and York Counties in under four months. This comes just two months after he had spent over a decade in a Maryland State Prison.

James Henderson Bryant III, a 46-year-old resident of Westminster, Maryland, has been handed a 14-year prison sentence, as stated by the US Department of Justice on Thursday, February 1st.

According to previous reports by Daily Voice, Bryant managed to steal around $28,823 during the five robberies listed below:

    • July 19, 2021 – BB&T Bank, Hanover, PA $3,026
    • Aug. 9, 2021 – BB&T Bank, Gettysburg, PA $8,670
    • Aug. 30, 2021 – BB&T Bank, Spring Grove, PA $8,710
    • Sept. 22, 2021 – Citizens Bank, Dillsburg, PA $6,206
    • Oct. 5, 2021 – Citizens Bank, Carlisle, PA $2,211

According to United States Attorney Gerard M. Karam, his crime spree commenced approximately two months after his release from a 13-year stay in a Maryland State Prison.

According to the release, Bryant has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for his actions. In addition to his prison sentence, he is also required to repay BB&T and Citizens banks the full amount that he stole. Following his release, Bryant will serve five years of probation.

Angell Dawn Peacher, a 34-year-old resident of Westminster, Maryland, has been accused of assisting and supporting Bryant in carrying out the bank robbery that occurred on October 5, 2021. However, there have been no recent updates regarding her case.
