Jamiesfeast – Amanda Davies, the talented actress known for her role as the young version of Victoria “Viki” Lord on the beloved soap opera “One Life to Live,” has tragically passed away at the age of 42. Amanda beautifully portrayed the character, which was originally played by her own mother, Erika Slezak, on the long-running ABC series. Her untimely death is a great loss to the entertainment industry.
In a heartbreaking announcement on her official website, 77-year-old Slezak confirmed the tragic passing of her beloved daughter.
With deep sorrow, I regret to inform you about the unexpected passing of Amanda Elizabeth Davies, Erika’s daughter. A heart-wrenching message was shared on Monday, expressing the family’s profound grief and requesting privacy during this difficult time.
Currently, the reason behind the death remains undisclosed.
The representatives for Davies and Slezak have been contacted by The Post for their comments.
Davies was born in 1981 to Slezak and her husband, Brian Davies, who is an actor recognized for his performances in films like “American Gigolo” (1980), “Convoy” (1978), and “The Age of Innocence” (1993).
Erika Slezak portrayed the character of Viki in the popular soap opera “One Life To Live” for ten years, from 1971 until the show’s television finale in 2012. In 2002 and 2013, when the series made a brief return as a web series, Robin Strasser also took on the role of Viki in a series of flashbacks.
During her illustrious four-decade tenure as Viki, Slezak earned an impressive six Daytime Emmy Awards, setting a new record.
Tragedy strikes the “One Life To Live” family once again, as they mourn their second loss in less than two months.
Puerto Rican actor Kamar de los Reyes, known for his role as cop Antonio Vega, passed away at the age of 56 on Christmas Eve following a short fight against cancer.
Davies leaves behind her mother, father (who is 85), and her 43-year-old brother, Michael.
