Pennsylvania – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect across parts of Pennsylvania, with heavy snow and strong winds anticipated through Sunday.
McKean County could see snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches, accompanied by wind gusts up to 35 mph on Saturday. Meanwhile, Cambria and Somerset counties are forecasted to receive 2 to 6 inches of snow, with higher amounts on ridgetops and winds reaching 40 mph from Friday night into Saturday.
The National Weather Service warns that hazardous travel conditions will impact Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes. Snowfall rates may reach 1 inch per hour in some areas Friday morning as the storm rapidly strengthens.
Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution and stay updated on road conditions through Pennsylvania’s 511 service. The gusty winds may also cause tree branches to fall, creating additional travel challenges.
Snow is expected to taper off by Sunday afternoon. Local officials recommend residents prepare for potential delays and have emergency supplies on hand.
