Jamiesfeast – Jeremy Lee Gardner was granted parole by the Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles on January 9th.
Gardner, who is 52 years old, is currently residing at the Loxley Work Release facility. He is serving two life sentences for convictions in 2014 related to trafficking methamphetamines from Lowndes and Covington counties. Additionally, he is serving a 20-year term for possessing a controlled substance from Conecuh County. At the time of his petition for parole, Gardner had already served slightly over 10 years of his three sentences.
The board made a decision with specific requirements for Gardner to fulfill the Perry County Probation/Parole Reentry Education Program (PREP) and undergo a drug assessment. Before being released on parole for his current prison terms, Gardner was previously granted parole in 2009. This was after he completed four years of a 15-year sentence from 2005. The sentence was for the charges of possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture and manufacturing a controlled substance in Covington County.
On January 9th, the parole board reviewed a total of 29 parole hearings. Out of these, 10 were approved while 19 were denied. Additionally, the board also evaluated 11 pardon requests, granting seven and denying four.
