It is alleged that he got into a physical altercation with a security guard at the venue. A video circulating on social media showed him being led away in handcuffs just moments before the live broadcast was scheduled to begin. Fortunately, he was released shortly after. In an interview with TMZ on Monday, Killer Mike addressed the incident, stating that he had a confrontation with an “overzealous” guard. He expressed confidence in his eventual exoneration, saying, “Given the circumstances, there was a lot happening and some confusion surrounding which entrance my team and I should use. We encountered an overly enthusiastic security guard, but my team and I firmly believe that I will be proven innocent.” When initially approached by TMZ, he mentioned feeling positive but refrained from providing further details at that time.
